Helping those who struggle in neighboring communities

Stiggs Feed a Friend Director
Natasha has been a core part of the Stiggs Brewing Company family for many years. In 2021, she co-founded the Stiggs Feed a Friend program and was subsequently named Director. Her passion and drive has helped connect local businesses and donors with the programs’ charitable efforts in helping feed local struggling families, veterans, and our friends in nearby assisted living facilities.
Our story
”Hey I got some cash and i want to help people out”
One fateful day, Owner Mike Castiglione was serving his personally made brews at the Stiggs Brewery taproom & kitchen when a patron flagged him down. “Hey, I got some cash and I want to help people out, can you feed some people?” The patron then wrote a generous check.
Come in Sunday for a free meal, no questions asked
Mike began a policy at the restaurant on Sunday’s: if you’re in need, come in and get a free meal—no questions asked. Once word got around, local residents and businesses began reaching out to help too.
“People started throwing money at us, so we developed a non-profit”
Stiggs Feed a Friend was born. Natasha, who had shown a passion for the Sunday efforts, was named Director and began expanding the charities reach. Events like the “Feed a Friend Raffles”, Drag Shows, Silent Auctions, and more have helped fund the program in order to expand and do more to help the community.
We want people going through STRUGGLE to enjoy a normal side of living
Stiggs Feed a Friend began working with local food pantries to hand out gift cards. “These people that are struggling, they don’t take their families out to eat...the gift card covers their meal and gratuity for the server…so they can enjoy a normal side of living”.
Helping veterans and our friends at local assisted living facilities
In 2022, the program delivered meals to veterans and folks in need in assisted living facilities. Stiggs Feed a Friend also reached out to help those in need after the tornado that destroyed Gaylord, MI in May. In addition to continuing to help members of neighboring communities through tough times, being able to help those who are affected by tragedy has become an additional focal point moving forward.

What we do
Stiggs Feed a Friend helps those in neighboring communities who are struggling by providing meals and other assistance. We help veterans, neighbors, friends in assisted living, and those affected by tragedy. Our Sunday program allows anyone to come in for a free meal. We provide gift cards and donations to local food pantries. We also deliver holiday meals to underprivileged members of surrounding communities. All this is made possible by donations and our charity events.
